JournalScan
Data Deletion Instructions
Last updated: 21 May 2026
This page explains how to delete personal data JournalScan stores about you, including if you signed in with Facebook Login or another provider.
Option 1 — Delete in the app (recommended)
- Sign in at JournalScan.
- Open Settings (profile menu → Settings).
- Under Account, choose Delete account and all data.
- Confirm when prompted (type DELETE).
This permanently removes from our servers:
- Your auth account (including Facebook-linked sign-in)
- Upload history, streaks, and profile
- Encrypted Notion integration tokens
- Remaining scan files in our storage for your user ID
Notion: Pages and databases already created in your Notion workspace are not deleted by this action—they stay in your Notion account.
Option 2 — Request by email
If you cannot access your account, use the contact form with the email tied to your account (or the email from your Facebook profile). Ask us to delete your JournalScan account and all associated data. We will verify ownership and complete deletion within a reasonable time (typically within 30 days).
Facebook Login
Removing JournalScan under Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites stops future access via Facebook but does not by itself delete data already stored on our servers. To erase that data, use Option 1 or Option 2 above.
Facebook profile data we may have received through Login (such as name, email, or user ID) is removed when yourJournalScan account is deleted.
